The chase to 73 is alive! The Golden State Warriors has kept their bid for their 73 win record run alive, as the NBA defending champs beat the San Antonio Spurs, 92-86, at their home turf for their 72nd win. The Warrios now have a 72-9 season standing, tied with the ’96 Chicago Bulls’ record finish of 72-10.
The Warriors have a chance to break the Bulls’ record if they beat the Memphis Grizzlies in their season finale.

San Antonio spurs suffered their first home-game loss this season. They now have a 65-15 season standing and fell 40-1 at home. The spurs have a chance to tie the ’86 Boston Celtics’ 40-1 home record, if they beat the OKC Thunders in their final game at home this season.

The Warriors will face the Grizzlies on April 13.
